Die ambulante muskuloskeletale Rehabilitation wird aktuell in Deutschland neu organisiert. Die bisherige Form der ambulanten Rehabilitation, die „ambulante orthopädisch - traumatologische Rehabilitation“ (AOTR) soll bis zum Ende des Jahres auslaufen. Ein grundsätzliches Problem der künftigen ambulanten wie auch aktuellen stationären Rehabilitation ist das Fehlen einer angemessenen gesetzlichen Regelung zur Indikation und Kostenübernahme. Hieraus ergibt sich ein Genehmigungs- und Kompetenzproblem, das auch durch das neue SGB IX nicht gelöst wird. Die aktuellen gesetzlichen Gegebenheiten sowie die Zuständigkeiten der einzelnen Sozialversicherungssysteme werden dargestellt.

The outpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation is actually reconstructed in Germany. The present model, the “ambulatory orthopaedic and trauma rehabilitation” (AOTR) will expire with 2002. A general problem of the coming outpatient rehabilitation as well as of the present inpatient rehabilitation is that the statuatory precondition concerning indication and financing is not clear. The resulting problems of responsibility and approval are not solved by the new social law IX (SGB IX). In this manuscript the current social law and the responsibilities of the main social insurance companies are presented.
